In light of the Sydney University Vice-Chancellor’s recommendation on Friday 13th March, all EU activities were moved online. You can read the original letter from the EU Executive (dated 14th March) here.
Although government restrictions regarding face-to-face contact are now beginning to ease, EU activities will remain online for the foreseeable future in line with current USU policies. However, informal off-campus gatherings are now permitted, given that those who are present abide by their regional government regulations (the NSW regulations are provided here).
With regard to our three main activities:
Public Meetings: Public meeting content is now delivered through weekly faculty gatherings, which are run by faculty leaders using Zoom. Gathering times for each faculty can be found here, along with contact details for each faculty. (Please note the change from the letter above, which was made effective on 27th April.)
Small Groups: Small groups will continue to run at their designated times, however, they will run online using Zoom. Small group leaders will contact their members.
Equip: Equip courses will be run online at their designated times, using Zoom. People signed up for Equip courses will be contacted by the leader of the course.
The EU will also be running a Winter Program over the mid-year break, which you can read about here. For ongoing updates about EU ministry online, follow us on our Facebook page and continue to stay connected through your Faculty Facebook groups.
For any further questions, please contact the EU Executive.
