Science
Welcome to EU Science!
EU science exists as a faculty community within the Eu
Our Vision: Genuine relationships, outreaching community, equipping for lifelong service - With Jesus Christ as Lord.
We try to support each other as we seek to honour God and seek after him at uni. Whether you consider yourself a christian, or are merely seeking to find out more about Jesus, we would love to meet you.
So, What does Eu Science Do?
In trying to serve Christ at campus, and encourage each other in fellowship we do a few things.1 - A key way (whether you are a first year or a senior) to be involved in EU Science is to be a part of a weekly small group bible study.
2 - This year, EU is holding a First Year Weekend Away! If you are a first year, this will be a fantastic opportunity to meet other people at uni and learn more about our awesome God.
3 - For great bible teaching, commit to going to one Public Meeting every week! Public Meetings are held Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays every week at 1:00pm (See PM page for room details).
4 - Life is bigger than uni, so it is really important that as science students we seriously consider how we can use our lives at uni and after uni to serve Him. Equip is a great way to learn how to evangelise to our campus and learn more about lifelong service to God. (See the Equip page for more details).
Matt's (one of our Senior Leaders) five reasons why you should be glad you are in EUscience!
You are meeting with others who have gone through the same thing you've gone through - come to us with questions about subject choices, content and how to make the most of uni life! We've been there, done that!
People can often be surprised when they find out that you know science and still you trust God and the bible - it's true! There's rationality behind our trust in our creator.
We spend all week at uni ('cos our timetable makes us) - but that's great as we get to hang out together, join small group bible studies (e-mail Chris or Julia if want to join) and meet lots of new contacts with different clubs and societies on campus. Join up to clubs and socs to your hearts content!
We are not arts students! (Well some are, but combined arts is not too bad :))
We have three great staffworkers who help us through uni life, Michael, Laura and Lachlan (Our missionary in Tonga!), let's praise God for them, pray for them, and come to them when we need to!
See you around campus!
Small groups
Small Groups are a chance all people (whether they identify as a Christian person or not) to study the Bible. It is a great place to learn, encourage each other, pray and get to know other science students better!
Small groups haven't started yet, so please contact an Chris or Julia about joining a small group or if you have any queries!
