Welcome to EU Science!
To be a tight-knit and out-reaching community, compelled by God's love, that lives passionately and prayerfully as Spirit-filled Christians
Who are you? Where do you belong? What are you going to do here? What is keeping you going?
These are just a few of the questions that might trouble you while you’re at uni. Finding your place and identity will be one of your biggest and most exciting challenges. Will you be a conscientious worker, or an all-night partier? Do you aspire to be head of the circus club one day? Your life and direction over the next few years is going to depend on what you hold to be important, and what you want to use to guide your university career.
University can be a very hard place to be at. Life can get hard. Fortunately, we know that God is always here for us and His love for us is so awesome! It was shown to us at its greatest intensity when Jesus died on the cross in order that we might live. In His mighty and gracious hands we are carried day by day. It’s incredible!
Now let us introduce ourselves. We are a group of Christians who go to Sydney Uni, and meet together to praise our Father and to study His Word. We draw encouragement and guidance from reading it, and from one another. We’ve been together for over 70 years, and we’re really excited as we look towards a glorious future! We have a vision - to be a close yet outreaching community that lives as Christians, passionately and prayerfully. We are driven by God’s massive love, and seek to share it with the people on campus and beyond. And we would love to have you join us.
We would like to suggest that your identity at university be that of a Christian. Exactly what that means is going to be different for every person, but every Christian shares the same way of life: submitting their lives to God in everything they do. It is our hope and prayer that we can grow together in Christ, serving Him as one vibrant community. This is an exciting time in our lives as we spur one another on toward love and good deeds! Let us proclaim: Jesus Christ is Lord, and that we are going to follow him!!
