EU ARTS WEEKEND AWAY 2010. April 30th-May 2nd. BE THERE

Our faculty weekend away is happening from Friday April 30th-May 2nd at the Crusaders Lake Macquarie Outdoor Rec. Centre.

If you keep an eye on this spot you'll find out very soon what the topic will be and who will be our speaker. I don't want to give too much away, but the topic is going to be fantastic, and speaker excellent too (both are in the pipeline so we're not just saying this).

I have also been guaranteed by our weekend away leader that this will be the best faculty weekend away Arts has ever run.

So keep the date free, get your assessments done ahead of time, and we can't wait to see you all there :)

Welcome to EU Arts for 2010!

The EU Arts Faculty is made up of Christian students at Sydney University studying Arts, Liberal Studies, Media and Communications and other related degrees. We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and is turning the world upside down: changing despair into hope, hatred into peace, and indifference into love. If you are a follower of Jesus, trying to work him out, or even if you're downright sceptical, you are welcome with us! Here's our vision:

Arts students living and proclaiming Christ crucified:

* authentic in love and witness

* embracing a life of hard work and discipleship

* hungry for prayer

* culturally and intellectually present

* delighted in God

The FArts in 2010

1 vision. 1 society. 1 afternoon.

This year, the EU Arts faculty wants to engage with the university campus, to be a presence, and to be involved. We want to love the campus by sharing our lives and Christ with those who need to hear it most. But we want to be genuine about our friendships.

Therefore, the Arts faculty is looking to provide EU Arts kids with an environment in which to help facilitate and grow these friendships by encouraging them to get involved with one society (other than the EU), attend one afternoon where they can invite friends to come, relax and have a bit of fun too.

We can't achieve our vision without your help, so please get involved, love the campus, be genuine, and remember that "we love because He first loved us" 1 John 4:19.

Seniors: Groups run at 12-1pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Meet at education building foyer.

1st years: Meet at education building foyer. Groups run at:

Monday 1pm, Monday 1pm (GIRLS), Monday 3pm (GIRLS), Tuesday 2pm, Wednesday 2pm, Thursday 12pm.

If you're not part of a group but would like to be, email one of our faculty leaders (Joel or Josie, addresses above) or smallgroups2009@gmail.com

Prayer

Prayer is at the core of our relationship with God, as well as our vision as Christians in the arts faculty. It is the way in which we bring our thoughts, requests and anxieties before our great Lord and express our dependence on Him.

We would love to see an arts community committed to prayer, meeting together often to pray.

Why not come to one of the daily EU prayer meetings? Check out the 'Activities' tab at the top of the page...
