Public Meetings

What are Public Meetings?

Three times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 1:00pm) the EU hosts a meeting focused around a stimulating and relevant talk from the Bible, given by some of Sydney's leading evangelical speakers. Public Meetings are directed specifically to University students, and aim not only to challenge and encourage Christians within the EU, but also to present the good news of Jesus Christ to our entire campus.

Public Meetings are, well, public! Every student at the University, Christian or not, is invited and welcome; every week the Christian gospel is proclaimed and every week is a great opportunity to invite non Christian friends to give them the chance to hear about Jesus and respond. Public Meetings are also a great chance to meet new people and to catch up with old friends over afternoon tea. In short, Public Meetings are the nerve centre of the EU.

Serving at Public Meetings

Putting on Public Meetings every week takes a lot of effort. It takes 70 people to make everything happen! There are all sorts of ways to serve at Public Meetings: welcoming newcomers, setting up afternoon tea, pushing the PM trolley, baking food, folding outlines, postering, chalking, Facebooking and more!

If you're interested in serving in any of these ways, you can sign up using this Google Spreadsheet.
