I.F.E.S.Pray for the important strategic ministry of GEU, the IFES movement in Guatemala. In a country rated by the UN as one of the most violent in the Americas, still suffering the after-effects of a 46-year civil war, GEU proclaims Christ as Lord to the 2% of Guatemalans with access to tertiary education, many of whom will become national leaders. Pray that those who have recently attended the national student conference will return to their campuses with renewed vision for changing their society with the message of Jesus Christ. Pray for Christian student groups in London. The city is home to more than 500,000 students, and more international students than any other city in the world. Pray for Christian students as they follow up connections made during the city-wide university mission at the start of the year. Pray that many would hear the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ while they study abroad in London, and that God would use them as missionaries to their own nations. Pray for a student movement in a dangerous region of Eurasia whose staff leader is returning to his home town to continue studying. Pray they would trust in God’s goodness and persevere in their work for the gospel as they enter this new and challenging phase of their ministry.
