Africa

At the end of 2003, the EU held a short term mission trip to Africa, specifically Kenya and Tanzania. The trip was taken in conjunction with CMS, our partners for the year. Thank God for the work they did there with the team and for the work that they continue to do. And praise God that the trip was a success and that the team were kept safe during their travels. The team consisted of:

Itinerary

O3T - TANZANIA & KENYA (2003-4)

  • 14th Dec Fly to Nairobi Orientation, settling in Preparation time
  • 27th Dec – 1st Jan Brackenhurst (ancon for the missionaries) – here we will run children’s and youth programs for the ‘mk’s
  • 2nd Jan Travel in 3 teams to Tanzania, staying with CMS missionaries in: 1) Bunda, Musoma 2) Ngara, Mgwanza 3) Moshi & Mvumi, Dodoma See maps for details. Activities include religious education in schools, helping lead on camps, english conversation classes, basic Christian leadership training and visiting various ministries in hospitals, bible schools, schools etc.
  • 31st Dec -1st Feb Dec Teams in Ngara & Mvumi travel to Mwanza 1st-3rd Feb Debrief & rest in Mvumi or Musoma
  • 4th Feb Return to Nairobi
  • 5th-13th Feb Help in Nairobi slums work with CMS missionaries and local Christians
  • 14th Feb Fly back to Sydney
