O-Day
O-Day: Tuesday, February 19, 2008The first few months of uni can be the most exciting and bewildering time of your life. Being one of over 30,000 students on an unfamiliar campus can be a huge step out of your comfort zone... So what can I expect? On the day, you will meet new friends, explore the part of the uni relevant to you and attend talks that will help you learn how to be a Christian at university. So what is this EU anyway? The SUEU is a group of students committed to making Christ known on campus, and has become one of the largest and most active groups at the University of Sydney. A member of the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students, the SUEU is committed to proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord, and to strengthening and encouraging Christians to grow in their faith and bear witness to God's glory in all aspects of their lives. We would love to see YOU at the SUEU O-Day on Tuesday, 19th of February, 2008. Registration for the day will begin at 9:00am on the Front Lawns on the eastern side of the Main Quadrangle. The day will finish at about 2pm. There will be a small charge of $5 to cover costs (including lunch) for the day. To let us know you're coming, please register by using the form below. If you are thinking of perhaps going to another University next year, why not check out the other AFES Groups?
Already part of EU?There are several things you can do to make this event a SUCCESS. .. 1. Tell your friends from church or other places about O-Day. Put a flier in their hand, help them RSVP and accompany them on the day. Download the flier here 2. Organise an church announcement or bulletin notice to plug O'day using flier. Download the flier here 3. Pray for the event. 4. Volunteer to help out on the day by emailing the o'day team at oday@sueu.org.au
